How we choose the deals we list

A short explanation of the rules we apply when deciding what appears on this site — including the ones that cost us money.

BuyTCN Deals is a deals discovery site. We do not sell anything, and every link takes you to the retailer's own page. That gives us a simple editorial position, which we want to state plainly.

What we list

We list offers from retailers we consider established and trustworthy, in categories our readers actually shop in: electronics, home and kitchen, fashion, beauty, sport and travel. We include both large marketplaces and specialist retailers.

What we do not list

• Offers that require a membership we cannot verify is worthwhile.
• Listings from sellers whose identity we cannot establish.
• Anything in a category we consider harmful or unlawful.
• Deals where the advertised saving depends on a reference price we cannot check.

Why we publish no prices

This is the decision that surprises people most, so it deserves a straight answer. Prices change constantly, they differ by region, and they differ between the web and app versions of the same store. Any price we printed would risk being wrong by the time you clicked through — and a price that is wrong once is a price you stop trusting.

Instead, every link takes you to the live page at the retailer, where the price shown is the authoritative one. That is less convenient for us as a site, and better for you as a shopper.

Why we publish no discount percentages

How commercial relationships affect listings

Some links on this site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through one. This does not change what you pay, and it does not buy placement. Whether a particular product appears on this site is decided by our own criteria, not by which retailer pays the best rate.

Where a retailer has no affiliate programme at all, we will still link to it if the deal is worth sharing. We would rather have a useful site than a maximally monetised one.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, tell us. Broken links, incorrect descriptions and outdated information are all worth reporting to contact@buytcn.com, and we will fix them.
